Not Me! Monday (despite the fact that it's Wednesday)

My friend has a friend (do we sound like we are in highschool yet?) who does "Not Me! Mondays". A chance to be brutally honest about the things we would never do as a mothers/wives/women
(yeah right...)

I would never be lying in a hotel bed with my newborn next to me and then forget he was there. Not only would I never forget he was there, I would never tell my other son that he could lay next to me and motion to the bed next to me and accidently hit my newborn in the head. No, I would never do this...not me!

I would never pick my new born up to give him a kiss and drastically underestimate the distance between us until his forehead smashes into the bridge of my nose. Not only would I never do this, I would also never then be in so much pain I would actually drop him the 6 inches to the pillow as I gasp in pain. No, I would never do this...not me!

I would never let my 7 year old stay up until 9:45 on a school night so he can decorate a cake drawing to try and win a free piece of cake. No, I would never let my child stay up that late for something so stupid...not me!

I would never lie to my husband and tell him it's his turn to wake up in the middle of the night (even though Troy slept through my turn) just so I could get some sleep. No, I would never be selfish like that...not me!

I would never forget to buckle my newborn's carseat and drive the 2.3 miles to my parent's house. I would never be so careless...not me!

The funny thing is that your husband knows that you would never do that because he does wake up everytime Troy does, even if he just lays there..

LOVE IT! I would NEVER do any of those things either....(i think i've done all of them-including forgetting to buckle a carseat!) The problem is that we have too much on our minds as mothers and can't do it all!!

Here's one of my favorites that happened recently....
"I would NEVER be in such a huge hurry to work that I would lock my car keys, cell phone, and my 2 kids in the car at 7:30am!"
