- unfolded, clean sheets sitting in an unfolded wad on our dining room table (in the mean time we are sleeping on flannel, polar bear sheets that hardly fit our bed)
- stuffed animal stuffing is littered across my boys' bedroom floor because I haven't found the time to get a vacuum upstairs
- 2 seperate piles of unfolded, unmatched socks, one in the bedroom, one on the dining room table (of course we now have no matched socks - so this morning while getting ready for work I had to dump out the laundry basket full of socks in my bedroom to hopefully match up two of them)
- 8 unwashed wine glasses from new years eve. Of course everything else can go in the dishwasher, but noooooooooooo not these. So of course they are going to sit there next to the sink until I find the time and desire to wash them by hand.
- 1 tub overflowing with clothes that no longer fit my 7 year old. Of course I haven't found the time to go through them to decide which ones are going to Goodwill and which ones go down to the basement. So instead, the tub just sits in the den.
- 1 inch thick dust on some of the picture frames. Of course I noticed this dust for the first time this morning as I was standing in the hallway blow-drying my hair (because, OF COURSE, the stupid fuse blew again)
- No pillow cases on our pillows, becuase they are sitting in the same pile of unfolded sheets on our dining room table (do you see a trend with the dining room table here??)
So...I've decided that I either need to sell my children on the black market, hire a maid, or just DEAL WITH IT!

Hey Shelly -
I noticed your comment on my blog and I have actually been following yours as well. Troy is so adorable! And, I can totally relate to the children or clean house - it sure is a challenge!
I choose children. And I don't work a full time job... hmm. I guess I don't really have an excuse, except that I DON'T like to clean!

My New Years Resolution was to stop worrying about the house so much and spend more quality time with my kids. It's so difficult though. I'm a bit anal about the house and all that, so this is an ongoing struggle. I think it is for all moms. I did get a cleaning lady which helps SOOOO much! I hear ya though Shelley. Just take it one day at a time. That's all you can do!
