Ear Infections...that's right...PLURAL!

Life is crazy here in the Stambaugh household...

A few weeks ago Dean started complaining about his ear hurting. He would say "it feels like I slept on it wrong." Nobody thought anything of it. We went to Great Wolf Lodge and had a great time. A few nights after we arrived home Dean started having something along the line of night terrors. For 2 nights in a row he woke up crying for several hours. It was one of the weirdest things I have gone through. On Thursday morning I took him to daycare for a day with Ms. Debi (Dean was on spring break). Not long after I got to work, Ms. Debi called to say that Dean wasn't feeling good and was complaining about his ears. I talked to him and he told me his ear hurt inside. Sure enough, a few hours later at the doctors office, we find out he has a double ear infection and a ruptured ear drum in his right ear. Dean is on medicine.

Troy is doing great. Monday of this week we went into his pediatricians office for his 6 month checkup. He is 19.6 lbs (75th percentile) and 29.5 inches (92nd percentile). Overall he was doing great. The next day Thom, Troy and I had the first of many cochlear implant discussions with his ENT. His ENT (great guy) told us that with my history of tubes if Troy has 2 ear infections before his surgery he will have to get tubes before his surgery. Within 5 minutes of getting that information he looked into Troy's left ear and what did he see?? AN EAR INFECTION!!!! UGH!! COME ON!!! This is a little ridiculous.

So, both boys are on Amoxocillian and doing much better.
