As many of you know, thanks to the internet, I have been able to run across other families with deaf children. Sometimes I feel the need to post their stories here as most of them are so much more well written than anything I could write.
Many of you have read the story of Little M. A beautiful girl from Cali who is profoundly deaf and has since gotten a cochlear implant. I follow her mom's blog and like to see how Little M is progressing.
Today, what Little M's mom brought tears to my eyes. She recounts the story of finding out Little M was deaf. This story would touch anybody who read it, however as a mother to deaf child, this opened the floodgate of emotions and memories. Her mother writes her story so beautifully that I would like to share it here.
Little M's Story
On June 2nd we make another attempt at finding out if Troy is a canidate for cochlear impants or not. If so, we can move forward and hopefully have his implants by late summer/early fall. If not, there is really no other alternatives. Our family will enroll in sign classes and we will move forward on step at a time.

I'm a Grand Rapids area blogger as well, and hope you find lots to help you along the way.
My thoughts go out to you and your family and prayers that your son is a candidate for the surgery.
