Home from our visit to the hospital

Yup, you know it's cold and flu season when your child has the dreaded RSV. Not only does my child have RSV, he has Broncholitis. Not only does my child have RSV and Broncholitis, his oxygen levels were so low they decided they wanted to admit us to the hospital OVERNIGHT (UGH!!!) During our not so lovely 27 hour stay at Butterworth's childrens hospital Troy was on oxygen and constantly monitored. Finally they had him off oxygen long enough to be convinced he could go home. Thankfully we are home (Thom went into work) and Troy is finally resting comfortably. Without trying to be too morbid, I decided to take some picutres of my little boy's experience (yes, I keep a camera in the diaper bag).

Trying to get some sleep with this stupid oxygen tube on my nose.

In the metal crib with Daddy watching over me.

Mommy having fun taking pictures.

My oxygen sensor on my foot that kept setting off the alarms because I can't stop kicking my feet :)

Me feeling much better without the oxygen tube in my nose

So glad to hear everything is okay and it was a relatively "short" stay (easy for me to say, it wasn't my baby!).

Troy looks great. So glad he's better and you're getting back to normal.

Hope Troy is doing better now after a few days at home - we'll be praying for continued recovery for all of you (because as the mom, you probably need to recover from his illness as much as he does!)

I'm glad Troy is feeling better Shelley! We were actually in the hospital with Benjamin last year for 3 days due to RSV, double ear infections, and an allergic reaction to his antibiotics! It's no fun watching your baby go through that and it's horrible putting them in that awful metal crib!! Stay healthy!!
