Weekly Wrap

Sunday
Woke up in the morning (not planning on going to church because neither Troy or I felt good) and called the doctor (after calling my mom to see if I should call the doctor). The nurse who called me back listened to Troy over the phone and told me to take him in to the emergency room. Once there we found out little man has RSV and was soon admitted due to low oxygen levels. The rest of the day was spent sitting around the hospital taking care of little man.
Monday
After a lovely nights stay in GR's best pediatric hospital, we woke up with sore necks not looking forward to the not-so-lovely hospital food. Since little man didn't sleep that well through the night we were all tired. Thankfully about 11:00 our pediatrician came in and said that we could take little man home. We were finally discharged about 12:30 and home by 1. Thom when into work while Troy and I snuggled.
Tuesday
I stayed home with little man in the morning and got Dean ready for school. Since Troy still couldn't go to daycare I watched him until daddy got home about 11:30 and I went into work. That night Thom cooked us some Cornish game hens and we had a nice dinner. Then I snuggled with my boys some more and we all went to bed early.
Wednesday
Since I am now working from home on Wednesdays so little man's teacher can come over and work with us, I got to sleep in until 7!! At which point I had to wake up and get Dean ready for school. Once he was ready and down to the bus I got little man and I ready for him to go get his hearing aids fitted. We went to his school and met with the audiologist. While there Troy decided he needed to work on the biggest poop of the week. Eventually we got his neon blue hearing aids fitted and were able to go home so he could eat before teacher Jane came over. Of course, the hearing aid outing threw little man off his schedule, so he slept the whole time Jane was over, which ended up working out okay because Jane taught me how to sign one of the kids' favorite books "Sam Sheep Can't Sleep". After she left I was able to do a few hours of work before I had to go and get Dean. The three of us then proceeded to Meijer to do some Weight Watchers conscious shopping. Of course, little man decided that he needed to start hating his car seat at that point and screamed bloody murder the entire 1 1/2 hours we were there. (Several times during that trip I actually considered leaving the entire shopping cart full of groceries and grabbing the kids and just leaving.) We eventually got home and I was able to sign "Sam Sheep Can't Sleep" to the boys twice before they went to bed.
Thursday
About once a week, little man decides he needs to wake up for a feeding at 5:30. By the time I am done feeding him it's too late for me to back to sleep so I start getting ready for the day. Of course by the time we get to daycare and I can actually get to work a little early, little man starts to, once again, scream bloody murder. It's at this point I have to sit with him to try and get him calmed down because I could never leave one of my kids to just cry. So I end up getting to work late. After work/school, Dean goes over to his dad's, Thom goes to teach, and I meet with a lady at Dean's school as I am the newest hospitality coordinator for Orchard View. Then little man and I come home and fall asleep early in the recliner.
Friday
So far so good...
